Our story

Built around one idea: kids do better when someone stays.

Empowering Hope started because too many young people in foster care were moving from placement to placement, never quite landing anywhere. We wanted to build a house where they didn't have to.

Our mission

Stability first. Everything else follows.

Young people who've been through multiple placements often carry the assumption that any home is temporary. Our job is to prove that assumption wrong — with the same staff, the same routines, and the same expectations, day after day.

From that foundation, we work on the rest: catching up in school, rebuilding family relationships where it's safe to, learning to cook and budget and advocate for themselves, and figuring out who they want to be next.

What guides us

Four commitments every staff member signs up for

  • 01

We don't give up on kids

A hard week doesn't end a placement here. We work through behavior, we don't discharge because of it.

  • 02

Every young person has a voice in their own plan

Case plans are built with residents, not just about them — including where developmentally appropriate, in their own words.

  • 03

    Culture, identity, and connection matter

We support relationships with siblings, extended family, and community — and honor each young person's cultural and personal identity.

  • 04

    Privacy is not optional

We don't share identifying photos or stories of residents publicly, and we train every staff member on confidentiality from day one.
