Get involved
Three ways to show up for these kids.
Work here, volunteer your time, or fund the parts of the program that grants don't cover. Pick what fits.
Join our staff
We hire people who can hold structure and warmth at the same time — this work is steady, sometimes hard, and genuinely meaningful.
Youth Care Counselor
Full-time & overnight shifts available
Direct daily support for residents: routines, homework, transportation, and de-escalation when needed.
Overnight Awake Staff
Part-time, 10pm–6am
Overnight supervision, safety checks, and a calm presence for residents who wake in the night.
Education Liaison
Full-time
Coordinates enrollment, IEPs, tutoring, and communication with schools for every resident.
Volunteer with us
All volunteers complete a background check and a short orientation before working with residents — it protects both the young people here and you.
Tutoring & homework help
Weekday afternoons, subject-specific or general homework support.
Life-skills workshops
One-time or recurring sessions — cooking, resume writing, financial literacy, interview prep.
Group outings & drivers
Help chaperone community outings or provide approved transportation to appointments and activities.
Fund what grants don't cover
Government funding covers the basics. Donations cover the things that make this a home rather than a facility — birthday celebrations, driver's ed, a bed of their own to move on with, a prom dress.
Empowering Hope is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Donations are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law. Contact us to discuss how to give.
$50
Covers a week of extracurricular activity fees for one resident.
$250
Funds a full driver's education course toward a resident's license.
$1,000
Stocks a "next chapter" starter kit — bedding, kitchen basics, and essentials — for a young person aging out.
